Get Ready for Fall!
For most of us, Labor Day usually marks the end of summer and the start of fall. The temperature cools down, the leaves turn to red, yellow, orange, and brown shades, and our bodies tend to move slower than in the summer. (And Indigo Movement had a busy and blessed summer! We partnered with Friends of Waterfront Seattle for a second year to offer a series of free fitness classes on Pier 62, and we partnered with Center for Healing and Liberation’s for a retreat on Whidbey Island.) However, resetting for fall can be a refreshing way to transition into the new season and prepare for the months ahead.
Black-Owned Businesses To Support
Although Black Business Month is officially celebrated during the month of August, let’s continue to support Black-owned businesses every day, 24/7/365. And remember, support doesn’t always have to mean financially, it can be through spreading awareness, following or liking their social media account, or simply leaving a review.

As you know, all month long we’ll be highlighting local Black-owned businesses to support and/or shop throughout the year. Your money can make a difference, especially when you continuously choose to shop and support Black businesses.
