Get Ready for Fall!

Hey y’all,

For most of us, Labor Day usually marks the end of summer and the start of fall. The temperature cools down, the leaves turn to red, yellow, orange, and brown shades, and our bodies tend to move slower than in the summer. (And Indigo Movement had a busy and blessed summer! We partnered with Friends of Waterfront Seattle for a second year to offer a series of free fitness classes on Pier 62, and we partnered with Center for Healing and Liberation’s for a retreat on Whidbey Island.) However, resetting for fall can be a refreshing way to transition into the new season and prepare for the months ahead. Here are some helpful tips to help you reset for fall below:

Health and Wellness: Schedule any necessary medical appointments and flu shots to stay healthy during the fall and winter months. Also, give your immune system a boost by eating foods rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, and strawberries.

Plan for Holidays: Start thinking about your holiday plans, including travel arrangements and gift shopping, to reduce stress as the holiday season approaches. Whether it’s celebrating Halloween, Diwali, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas, you can never be too prepared. Even finding the right costume for a Halloween party is stressful!

Outdoor Activities: We live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest surrounded by wildlife, mountains, and lots of greenery! Plan outdoor activities to enjoy the crisp fall weather, such as hiking the iconic Maple Pass, apple picking in Wenatchee, or visiting a local pumpkin patch.

Set New Goals: Fall can be a great time to set new personal or professional goals. Reflect on what you want to achieve in the coming months and create a plan to work toward those goals.

Stay tuned for next week’s newsletter with additional tips!

Cheers,
