Giving Back
Indigo Movement is proud to work with other local businesses and non-profit organizations in the Seattle area. We believe in building strong relationships within our communities to help grow and uplift them.
Friends of Waterfront Seattle
In Summer 2022, Indigo Movement partnered with Friends of Waterfront Seattle to bring free, inclusive summer programming to the public on Pier 62. Classes were offered every weekend and led by expert fitness and wellness instructors. Sessions included dance-inspired cardio fitness, full-body kickboxing, mobility classes, cultural dance, yoga, and meditation. Friends of Waterfront Seattle tapped Indigo Movement to offer kickboxing and mobility classes throughout the summer.
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Foundation
Every year, Indigo Movement provides massage gift certificates for The Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Foundation silent auction. The support for these fundraisers allows the foundation to continue to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families.
Om Thrive Yoga
The body remembers trauma, and massage is an excellent tool for relieving stored trauma and tension. In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October 2022), Indigo Movement partnered with Om Thrive to offer complimentary massages to domestic abuse survivors.
Black History Month
Indigo Movement partnered with Flow Fitness instructor, Caeli Jennings, on a Black History Month fitness challenge in February 2021. Indigo Movement provided Indigo Movement gift cards to all winners.
The Duncan Connection
Additionally, Tiana Duncan, is also the founder of The Duncan Connection, 501(c)(3).
Founded in 2017, Duncan has been providing holistic resources, offering fitness classes and swim lessons to neighborhoods in the South Seattle area. During the summer she partners with Seattle Parks and Recreation to bring fitness outdoors at Denny Park in South Lake Union, and in the winter she partners with Rainier Dance Center in South Seattle to provide the community with fitness classes for only $5. In addition, Duncan has partnered with Jefferson Community Center and Seattle Parks and Recreation for a year-long activation where she and members of the community go for 75-minute leisurely walks and are taught fundamentals to improve their balance, posture, and endurance with interval sets along the way.
The Duncan Connection (TDC) believes it is every human’s right to have access to holistic resources, fitness classes, and swimming education either for free or at a reduced cost for all.
