As summer officially ends this month, be sure to get your health in check (ahem Dr. Towolawi) before we head into fall and go out and soak up some sun with rollerskating or Double Dutch! Both are great ways to incorporate some movement!
Join the Movement: Elevate Black Entrepreneurs This Month!
It would be remiss to not mention that August is Black Business Month, a month dedicated to recognizing and supporting Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. The observance encourages consumers to shop and utilize services at Black-owned businesses, and it aims to highlight the importance of economic empowerment within the Black community. It was started in 2004, created by author John William Templeton and engineer Frederick E. Jordan Sr., to help Black-owned businesses get more attention and succeed.
