Celebrate Juneteenth With Indigo Movement
It’s the month of celebration, and this week we’re talking about Juneteenth! Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. The history of Juneteenth dates back to June 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Texas, issued an order which proclaimed the freedom of all enslaved people in Texas.

It has roots in the struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights and has evolved into a global movement promoting equality, visibility, and acceptance for all sexual orientations and gender identities.
