Your Summer To-Do List

Hey y’all,

My favorite thing about summertime in the Pacific Northwest is all the different activities throughout Western Washington. Check out these family-friendly events below!

Seafair Weekend Festival | August 4 - 6

The Seafair Weekend Festival is one of the largest boating events, airshows, and festivals combined into one. You’ll see the US Navy’s Blue Angels headlining the Boeing Seafair Airshow and racing boats competing for the HomeStreet Bank Cup on Lake Washington. And of course, you can experience local food, music, wake boarding, cars and more!

Woodland Park Zoo’s ZooTunes | July 17 - August 23

Woodland Park Zoo hosts their 39th annual ZooTunes concert this summer! ZooTunes is a key fundraising event for Woodland Park Zoo with proceeds going to support the zoo’s exemplary animal care, both local and global conservation programs and critically important education programs.

Umoja Fest | August 5 - 6

Umoja Fest honors Seattle’s Black community’s rich and historic heritage. The festival and parade celebrates our collective ability to make ourselves, our families, community, city, state, nation and world a better place for our future generations.

Renton Downtown Historic Walking Tours | August 12

Join the tour group and visit 10 or more historic buildings and locations in downtown Renton covering the center and southern part of downtown.

Purchase of a ticket includes a tour, a tote bag, an admission ticket for the Renton History Museum, a program, and a tasty treat along the tour route.

Kent Summer Concert Series | July 12 - August 16

In partnership with the City of Kent, Kent Station hosts summer concerts every Wednesday through August 16th in the plaza in front of AMC Theaters. You can snag a spot on a restaurant patio, save one of the seats provided or bring your own chair!

Tacoma Summer Fest | August 12

Next month Tacoma Summer Fest is returning to Point Ruston! This one-day event will have tons of great handmade makers from all over the PNW along with food trucks, and of course a gorgeous waterfront view! You’ll find handmade jewelry, clothing, housewares, fantastic gifts, local artisanal food, and so much more!

Cheers,
