More Ways To Celebrate Spring!
Hey y’all,
Last week I shared some suggestions for things to do in the wake of Spring! Here are some additional tips to keep you feeling connected and energetic; after all, Spring is the season of brightness and lightness in the body!
Light + Bright Fruits and Vegetables
With Spring comes light and bright-colored fruits and vegetables! We all know we should eat more of them which is the best source of nutrients for a healthy microbiome. Some high-fiber foods that are good for your gut bacteria include raspberries, artichokes, green peas, broccoli, and chickpeas, to name a few! Gut health is connected to increasing energy. You can always find the freshest fruits and vegetables at your local farmer’s market (check out local markets HERE) to easily integrate more color into your diet. It’s also a great way to support your community by buying directly from farmer’s markets in your area!
Dry Brushing
If you’ve never tried dry brushing, you’re missing out! Start adding dry brushing or dry scrubbing to your daily self-care routine, and you’ll see the wonders it can do for you. Dry brushing helps to stimulate heat, improve lymphatic circulation and support balanced and healthy skin.
Early AM Sweat
Committing to exercising in the morning allows the body to counter the sometimes heavy and wet spring season, which we should all be used to living in the Pacific Northwest! Try a gentle walk with a warming beverage, a heated yoga class, or pilates to build your inner warmth. This helps with easy elimination and digestion.
Cheers,
Tiana
