More Non-Profit Organizations To Support

I know this newsletter may be controversial to some, but as the founder of Indigo Movement, I deeply stand in solidarity with all oppressed people across the globe. It's important to recognize how Western media, often shaped by a white gaze, perpetuates harmful stereotypes about certain groups. These narratives are intentionally designed to create division and tension among communities.

Historically, Jewish people were not always seen as part of the dominant white narrative in the US. They were positioned as outsiders, marginalized, and subjected to systemic oppression. Even today, Jewish communities face rising hate crimes, much like the increased attacks against Asian communities during the pandemic. This pattern underscores how deeply ingrained these tactics of division are.

It's important to acknowledge that many Jewish individuals and communities do not support the actions of the Israeli government, particularly under leadership like Netanyahu’s, nor the ongoing violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and now extending to Lebanon. The following organizations are committed to standing against anti-Zionism and championing true social justice, fostering a world rooted in equity and collective liberation.

Masa Seattle

Masa Seattle seeks to inspire Jews to explore the profound and joyful aspects of Judaism by creating intimate, informal, and judgment-free spaces for Jewish learning and living. They welcome and support individuals on unique Jewish journeys, including interfaith families, Jews of color, Jews by choice, LGBTQ+ Jews, and those who are Jewish-adjacent or eager to learn more. Their vision is to build a vibrant Jewish community, re-energized through compassionate outreach and inclusive engagement, bringing together Jews from every walk of life. You can support them HERE.

Jewish Voice for Peace

Jewish Voice for Peace envisions a world where everyone — from the U.S. to Palestine — lives in freedom, justice, equality, and dignity. Inspired by generations of Jewish activists fighting for liberation, they are committed to creating a more just and beautiful future. Through collective organizing, they aim to dismantle systems of injustice and build something better.

Jewish Voice for Peace imagines a future where Israeli jails are dismantled, Palestinian refugees return home to rebuild their communities, and Jewish Israelis are freed from systems of violence and oppression. Together with Palestinians, they strive for a society based on equality, dignity, and democracy — where every life is valued.

For Arab, MENA, and SWANA Jews, they envision safe, ethical ways to reconnect with ancestral homelands without the violence or appropriation tied to Zionism. Across the Jewish diaspora, they see communities healing from the loss of their histories, languages, and traditions. By replacing fear-driven institutions with ones rooted in dignity, empowerment, and love, they can create spaces where safety and solidarity flourish for all.

This vision calls for unity, grounded in justice and love, to build a future where everyone, everywhere, can live with freedom, dignity, and equality.

Cheers,
Tiana
