Things To Do in July!

One of our favorite things about summertime in Seattle is seeing all the beautiful people from all walks of life come outside - literally! It’s truly when you can see the rich tapestry of art and culture here in the Emerald City. There are so many street fairs, block parties, and events to explore around Seattle and the surrounding areas. Whether you're a art enthusiast, dancer, or a curious newcomer, we invite you to explore, engage, and be inspired. Summer has arrived y’all and it’s time to slap on the sunblock (don’t forget to reapply!), lace up your walking shoes and hit the town to play outside! Here’s our curated list of some things to do this month:

Organized by Dance for Joy and Lilli Ann Carey, Dancing till Dusk is hosting 17 summer evenings of free music, dance lessons, and dancing throughout different Seattle parks, such as Freeway Park, Hing Hay Park, Pier 62, and Westlake Park, to name a few. The 1st hour is a beginning dance lesson; no partner is necessary as you change partners in the lesson. It’s a fun way to meet new people! If you prefer not to change partners, bring one along! It starts this week on July 11th and goes through the end of August. You can view the full schedule HERE.

Art Noir was founded by Vivian Phillips, an arts leader with decades of experience working and advocating on behalf of Seattle's creative community. It initially emerged in May 2021 as an online publication dedicated to showcasing and uplifting Black art, artists, and culture, but today, it also hosts a series of events. You can view its upcoming events for July HERE.

For the past 25 years, the Capitol Hill Block Party has been loved by the Seattle community, showcasing local and traveling artists. This year’s performance genres include pop, R&B, indie rock, punk, EDM, and many more of Gen-Z favorites (think Kaytranda, Remi Wolf, Still Woozy and more)! Join in on the fun from July 19th through 21st and purchase your tickets HERE!It’s one of the best weekends of summer in Seattle!

Pista is proud to be an officially sanctioned Seafair community event. It is a beautiful expression of cultural pride and traditions among local Filipinos. In the spirit of community and true Filipino hospitality, Pista extends a hand of friendship and welcomes neighbors from across this region and beyond to experience all things Filipino. Pista is a festival celebrating Filipino culture while allowing a melting pot of people to unite. Check it out on Sunday, July 28th HERE!
