Celebrating Black History Month: Nourishing Physical Wellness

Hey y’all,

Our bodies serve as temples of resilience and strongholds of strength, echoing the enduring spirit of our Black and Brown ancestors. Through time, their narratives of perseverance and triumph will continue to shape the present and help illuminate the path for future generations to come!

As the years pass us by, I think it’s important to tell the stories of our ancestors. Let’s continue to celebrate the following pioneers from our past!

Arthur Ashe

Beyond his triumphs on the tennis court, Ashe advocated for health and fitness within the Black community, emphasizing the importance of physical well-being as a cornerstone of empowerment. Click here to learn more.

Katherine Johnson

A trailblazing mathematician and NASA pioneer, Johnson's dedication to her craft underscored the importance of nurturing our bodies and minds to achieve greatness. Click here to learn more.

Jackie Joyner-Kersee

A record-breaking athlete and advocate for youth empowerment, Joyner-Kersee exemplifies the power of physical strength, resilience, and determination. Click here to learn more.

May we honor their legacies by prioritizing our physical health, embracing movement as a form of liberation, and nurturing our bodies with care and compassion.

Cheers,
