Spring Is Around The Corner
Going from cold winters to warmer and wet weather can mean more than just a wardrobe change. Temperature changes also mean a change to your skincare routine too. Over the last 15 years, I've learned to enjoy taking good care of my skin and observing what works and what doesn't. Here are some of my tips that might be helpful for you!
1. Skincare
For the winter, I usually use thicker, cream-based moisturizers that infuse moisture into my skin however, for spring I use a gel-based cleanser and then moisturizers that are a bit lighter—typically products that have hyaluronic acid in them—to avoid clogging my pores. Please consult with a dermatologist to find the right cleanser and moisturizer for you. :)
2. Post-workout
After any workout, I wash my face to cleanse away sweat and bacteria to prevent my pores from getting clogged. If you can't wash your face, a wet wipe works too. Leaving sweat on my face after exercising can cause irritation and dehydration because sweat contains salt.
3. Hydration
No matter what season it is, water keeps my body hydrated, refreshed and helps maintain my skin's elasticity. People who drink large amounts of water are less likely to suffer from scars, wrinkles, and soft lines and they won't show as many signs of aging as those who drink little amounts of water.
