James’ Spring Routine

Hey y’all,

Spring is a time of renewal and rejuvenation, so it's a great time to shake off winter habits and refresh your routine! This could mean incorporating more outdoor activities, adding fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet, or adjusting your exercise routine to take advantage of the longer days and warmer weather.

It's also a good time to declutter and organize your space to create a more peaceful and productive environment. Ultimately, Spring is a great opportunity to make changes to set yourself up for a healthy and happy season ahead.

For the month of April, we’re going to show how Indigo Movement’s team members prepare for Spring starting with brand strategist, James who is based in Los Angeles.

It can still get chilly in LA, where the weather is primarily sunny year-round. So once spring officially hits, it’s an opportunity for James to get outdoors. With so many hiking trails around the city such as Runyon Canyon, which can get crowded, James prefers Culver City Stairs. The stairs are about .25 miles in distance and 500 feet of elevation with a great vantage point for Downtown Los Angeles. It’s perfect for when you want a short hike!

With the days getting longer, it allows for walks along the beach after his workday is done. One of James’ favorite beaches is Manhattan Beach. The calming sound of the waves and the feeling of the sand beneath his feet feels therapeutic and makes him feel relaxed. It’s also a place where he likes to bring a good book and lay out in the sun for some vitamin D!

As temperatures slowly start to rise, James likes to swap out his winter clothes for his spring wardrobe. This means lighter colors, fabrics that are more breathable, and also pieces that can be layered, as it can still get chilly in the evening. This also means drycleaning coats and other delicate items that were heavily worn during the fall and winter months before putting them away in storage!

You can’t say LA without mentioning EREWHON! The bougie grocery store notoriously known for their expensive, celebrity-driven smoothies. Of course, it’s an expensive habit that will make anyone go broke, but James takes inspiration from his favorite drinks from EREWHON and recreates them at home using the season’s best fruits and vegetables.

Cheers,
