How AJ Johnson is Changing Lives
Are you familiar with Adrienne-Joi Johnson? Her name might sound familiar. Also known as A.J. Johnson, she started her career as an actress in the late 80's and starred in many films and TV shows such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Babyboy, and The Jamie Foxx Show. Today, she is a muli-hyphenate woman who is a choreographer, fitness trainer, and life and wellness coach.
For the last decade, Johnson has worked with celebrities such as Gabrielle Union, Steve Harvey, Chaka Khan, and Stevie Wonder, just to name a few, with making progress in their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Recently, Johnson launched her own show on TV One called Life Therapy with AJ Johnson, she'll help guests from all walks of life do better with whatever they're struggling with.
Aside from helping others with improving their lives, what I also admire about Johnson is she didn't fit the "typical" body image that the media was propagating early on in her career. Her physique: broad-shouldered, hard-bodied, and muscular was not deemed "feminine" at the time but helped pave the way for body positivity with today's trainers such as Jeanette Jenkins, Jessyman Stanley, Massy Arias, and Lita Lewis. Go girls!
