My 4 Tips for the New Year
2022 will finally be here this Saturday! In preparation for the New Year, here are my 4 tips to starting the New Year on the right foot!
1. Review your year
It's really important to take time to reflect upon the last year before planning the next. Otherwise how else will you know what worked and what didn't? List out any strong emotions of failure, disappointments, or frustrations from this past year - they are usually the best lessons! Make sure to also list out your accomplishments and moments of happiness too!
2. Audit your life
How are you feeling? Whatever it is, it's okay either way. When you audit your life, you're analyzing all areas of your life including health and fitness, emotional and mental wellbeing, finances and money habits, relationships and family, and career and learning. Think about how you feel about each of those areas and consider what would you change or spend more time doing if you could.
3. Make a New Year’s Resolutions
Take care to choose the right New Year's resolutions for YOU! Don't feel silly for taking it seriously either, especially if one motivates and inspires you to take action. Now that you've reviewed your year and audited your life, you should have a good idea of what issues and areas of your life that you want to improve. You can change your life for the better and a new year's resolution is a great first step in the right direction!
4. Plan your year
Don't just plan for the New Year, plan for the next 12 months in advance! There's something about having 12 months of fresh possibilities laid out in front of you. Set goals each week or month and include deadlines. Remember a goal without a deadline is just a wish! Now get started!
