Indigo Movement Reflection & Review
Hey y’all,
Firstly, we want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Make sure to take a moment to reflect on how much you accomplished in 2023 - the good, the bad, and the indifference. You made it through, and there's no limit to what you can do in 2024!
We at Indigo Movement are so thankful for this past year. Reviewing what happened before the new year is a constructive and forward-looking practice of ours. It provides the opportunity for reflection, learning, and planning, contributing to personal and professional success in the upcoming year. Here’s a year in review…
Indigo Movement partnered with Friends of Waterfront Seattle to offer a series of free fitness kickboxing and mobility classes on Pier 62 during the summertime. This was our second year in a row! Additionally, we partnered with them in February to host a virtual fitness class in celebration of Black History Month.
We also partnered with The Center For Healing & Liberation, an organization committed to the thriving of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community members and the liberation of everyone, to do a retreat on Whidbey Island. It was lovely to connect with other women of color!
Indigo Movement founder Tiana Duncan was featured on King 5 Mornings during Pride Month to discuss how her massage business and fitness classes are aimed at creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone to feel comfortable in their own skin. During this same month, Indigo Movement was also featured as a Queer-owned business in Yelp Washington’s page!
Additionally, Indigo Movement was featured on 21 Ninety for being a Black and Woman-owned wellness brand that wants you to reclaim your me-time. Amen!
Lastly, we want to thank all of our clients and followers who supported us in every way that they possibly could last year. Choosing us to be their massage therapist, referring us to their friends and family, following us across our social platforms, tuning in for our weekly Movement Snacks, and subscribing to our newsletters. We wouldn’t have made it this far without YOU!
Cheers,
Indigo Movement Team
